Kennards Hire has 'kicked-off ' its annual
charity initiative, 'Kennards For Kids'.
Running throughout September and
October, the hire chain is looking to make
life a little easier for sick, injured and
disadvantaged kids around Australia and
New Zealand, and help them get the best
start to life possible.
For more than 10 years the family owned
business has used the months of September
and October to raise funds and awareness for
carefully selected children's charities by donating
$2 from each hire to these worthy causes.
Kennards Hire is encouraging businesses
and families to get involved this year, after
its most successful year in 2014 when the
company raised more than $350,000 for kids
in need in Australia and New Zealand.
This year Kennards will be donating
proceeds to Stepping Stone House, Kids
Xpress, Variety - the Children’s Charity,
the Constable Care Foundation and the
Children's Hospital Foundation.
"We believe that every child deserves a fair
start in life and the opportunity to realise
their potential," said Liz Ward, CEO of

The recently released vented BRUTE refuse
containers combine the proven durability
of BRUTE containers with new venting
and cinching technology and improved
ergonomics. According to marketer
Rubbermaid Commercial Products (RCP),
improved productivity and effciency are
derived from four new venting channels
which create airfow.
This air circulation makes removing liners
up to 50 percent easier by eliminating the
vacuum effect that occurs when lifting liners
out of traditional containers.
Integrated cinches secure bin liners easily
so less time is spent tying knots to tighten
liners. Contoured base handles improve grip,
reduce strain and improve effciency when
emptying containers, making cleaning easier.
"BRUTE containers have been a hallmark
of Rubbermaid Commercial Products
for more than 45 years. With every lift,
drag and drop, they have outlasted and
outperformed thanks to our proprietary
design and the highest quality materials,"
said Kristine Sickels, RCP's vice president
"With vented BRUTE containers, we are
raising the bar even higher, aiming to make the
job of cleaning easier and reducing the time
and effort needed to manage refuse streams."
RCP's senior manager, brand activation,
Matthew Francis explained that development
of the vented BRUTE container had been
driven by consumer insights to support
productive and safe work practices.
"The new range not only provides the
industry's most durable and versatile
refuse containers but also the widest range
of colours and accessories, to suit any
application," emphasised Francis.
"We're thrilled to introduce a durable
container that can be used in the harshest
environments and is also safe for use in
sensitive settings, such as food preparation
areas," he added.
